Favignana is a day to set aside whole. You leave Mazara, drive to Trapani, and take the hydrofoil out to the island.
Getting around by bicycle
A bicycle is one of the most practical ways to move. Pick a part of the island, ride to a cove, swim, and carry on without following a plan.
A day at the sea
Favignana works precisely because it does not ask for many stops.
Choose two or three places that interest you, leave time for a swim and a pause, and keep an eye on the return crossing.
When it works best
In summer, leave early. In the busiest periods it is worth booking the crossing ahead and always checking current timetables before you set off.
How much time it takes
Allow a full day.
Between the drive from Mazara to Trapani, the hydrofoil and the return, this is not a trip to squeeze between two other things.
